ADVANCED PRO COACH (PART-TIME)

The Advanced Pro Coach will work in conjunction with the Head Coach to build the PCKLRAMA player experience. Focus will be placed on building programs that are formally aligned to the improving players capabilities at an advanced level. Build player centric lesson plans that enable players to level up their skills while enabling their strategic capabilities. Drive leading edge clinics that will help players realize their potential. Perform player evaluations while providing a roadmap for players to obtain higher ratings. Manage the professional coaching practice to driver higher adoption and retention. Build a following of players that take lessons through PCKLRAMA. Collaborate with the Community Relations Manager to support outreach campaigns. 

Part-Time Role - $40 per Hour

Eligible for overtime pay for hours worked over 40

•  Maintain a professional demeanor as a PCKLRAMA employee 
• Greet customers with enthusiasm and answer questions 
• Collaborate with the pro shop on any specific customer needs 
• Drive instruction of players in accordance with USA Pickleball Rules 
• Build lesson plans that are aligned to the Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) teaching methodology 
• Understanding players needs and translating those needs into skills and drills for them to accomplish their goals while help customers have the optimal playing experience and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
• Professional, articulate, understands when to listen and takes notes 
• Conduct drills specifically targeted to enhancing players technical and tactical capabilities, run strategic clinics and workshops to upskill players patterns through proven instructing 
• Collaborate with coaching staff to build player programs that will teach them and help move players from one level in rankings to the next 
• Assist in organizing and implementing comprehensive instructional programs for various skill levels and age groups for program development 
• Perform player evaluations by assessing players' strengths and weaknesses to provide personalized feedback and develop customized training plans 
• Collaborate with the Club Attendants on equipment management to ensure proper court setup, equipment maintenance, and safety procedures are executed 

3 Years as a pickleball coach

2-3 Years building lesson plans

1-2 Years as an avid racquet / paddle player

High school diploma or equivalent 

• A thorough understanding and knowledge of pickleball rules, strategies, and current teaching methodologies
• Aware of Pickleball Rules, Pickleball Organizations / Associations / Leagues such as PPA & MLP
• Ability to teach tactical, technical, strategic and team chemistry skills 
• PPR or IPTPA certification or willingness to obtain certifications within 90 days 
• USA Pickleball member / willingness to obtain membership 
• Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating (DUPR) 4.5+ or higher 
• Safety standards such as CPR, AED or First Aid certifications are helpful

Part-Time employees are not eligible for benefits. However, employees will receive discounted open play, lessons and merchandise at PCKLRAMA.
